5 LAB company was founded in 2012 in St. Petersburg, Russia. Since then we have successfully executed more than 20 research and development projects in such areas as industrial monitoring, data analysis and machine learning, business processes automation, data visualization and others.
Our ex. employees work in big worldwide known companies.
We focus on outstaffing and outsourcing models of work and we are proud of 10 years of excellent cooperation with large European industrial customer. Nowadays our company is based in Almaty, Kazakhstan and we are looking forward to cooperation with new partners worldwide!

Automation of engineering design
Developers of 5 LAB took a leading role in the implementation of a solution for engineering design automation. This web app allows design engineers to configure the engineering design optimization task, to build up required visualization in order to observe how optimization engine drives the process. In case of the need, engineers can reconfigure the process on-the-fly thus solving design exploration tasks faster or achieving more efficient results at the same time.

Monitoring of industrial equipment
Having deep competence in web-based data visualization, engineers of 5 LAB contributed significantly to the development of internal product for industrial equipment monitoring. One of the biggest challenges for this development was to ensure high performance of dashboards which visualizes hundreds of values on a single web page of a browser. The software is used both during experimental equipment testing and monitoring of equipment which operates in production on customers’ sites.

Critical infrastructure monitoring
Team of 5LAB took part in several projects related to the monitoring of water supply infrastructures. This specific software by nature of the monitored objects contains geospatial visualization, a lot of charts and specific widgets helping engineers to monitor and analyze data of water supply infrastructures.

Business process automation
Successful implementation of a web-based solution to automate business processes of a specific industrial facility. Working closely together with Customer’s project team, engineers of 5 LAB provided an architectural solution and main forces for implementation & maintenance of the application. Domain area is of high complexity and has many entities. Developed solution helps to structure and speed-up corresponding operational processes of the industrial facility.

Services
We supply various types of services: starting from prototyping and PoC creation, followed by software development and finally to maintenance and production support including 24/7 help desk.
We can work both in outstaffing mode with providing engineers to the customer team and in outsourcing mode, when a dedicated team with a project manager takes the responsibility to deliver results in time, budget and with required quality.
